Date: October 16-17
We will take the train from Chicago to New Buffalo, staying in the Harbor Grand. We’ll have a book exchange a pre-loved book, have a book club discussion, explore New Buffalo, and have plenty of time for reading on our own.
The Reading Retreat includes:
Hotel for 1 night at the Grand Harbor
Train fare to and from New Buffalo
Meals: Friday night Dinner, Breakfast Basket at Hotel, Group Lunch Saturday, Group Dinner Saturday
This event is a fundraiser to benefit Open Books.
Open Books is a non-profit organization focused on transforming lives through reading, writing, and the unlimited power of books. We are committed to partnering with communities in Chicago to ensure that youth and families have equitable access to be lifelong readers. The organization believes it is important that we break down systemic barriers to reading and literacy.
If you are rooming with a friend, you will both need to register. I will reach out and confirm to make sure I am pairing the right people in the same hotel room!
